I förra veckan publicerades Fria Moderata Studentförbundets viceordförande Alexander Fritz Englunds briefing ”Is Neoliberalism to blame for Orbán and Le Pen?”, i vilken han undersöker om det finns något statistiskt samband mellan liberal politik och växande populism i Europa.
“This briefing finds no support for the hypothesis that the rise of “neoliberalism” in the form of deregulation, tax reform, free trade etc. has created resentment and contributed to populist sentiment. If anything, the opposite appears to be the case.”
